A Few Best Men
The story-line is simple enough - British lad meets Aussie lass on tropical island, marriage proposal accepted, flies with mad mates to wed his new-found sweetheart in the Blue Mountains.
What follows is a fast-paced romp of crass, crude, in-your-face and at times questionable humour. But somehow it works. After seeing acclaimed films such as The Iron Lady, The Descendants and Hugo for example, maybe film-goers needed an escapist offering like this one, because apparently it is very successful at the box-office to date. The seniors in the theatre with us, especially the ladies, certainly found plenty to laugh about, although the comedy would appear to be aimed at a much younger audience. If you need light, down-to-earth with an Aussie flavour, this just might be the ticket.

will be our guide through a community torn in two, divided by bloodline. This is
Cherish's place, this is where she hides away from the real world, speaks to
imagined friends and is visited by ghosts of relatives long dead. At the

conflict and the difficulties of observing traditional lore in a community
permeated by western values.
